I was born with a book in my hand.  At least, it seems that way.  I've loved to read for as long as I can remember, and I wrote my first story with a freshly sharpened pencil soon after I started elementary school.  When I was in the third grade, my mother bought me a Smith Corona manual typewriter.  I was officially a writer.  I spent hours pecking out stories about brave girls who fought magical villains, witches, and ghosts.  In high school, my thoughts turned to love, and I discovered the historical romance genre.  I adored the sense of being transported to another time and place and the stories of danger and love that touched my heart.  Soon, I began to craft stories of bold, adventurous heroes and spirited heroines who didn't wait around to be rescued.  Destiny, my first novel, features a heroine who is anything but a damsel in distress and a hero who rides into danger and risks his neck for the woman he loves.

I'm the mother of two sons who are used to their mother burning food to a crisp when I run back to my computer to write just a little bit more.  When I'm not writing, reading, or burning dinner, I enjoy cycling, hiking, and long walks on the beach with my own personal hero, my husband - a man who doesn't mind the tap of keys on a laptop at all hours of the night.
